Faith's Summer Plans
We're hoping that Faith and Laura will be able to film a television show for the Japanese TV production company Zippy. We're told it will be a variety show, but Faith will be visiting elderly Japanese patients in either a hospital or a nursing home, Faith loves working with and visiting elderly people so this should be a very good experience for her. Because I am going to be working full time Laura will be talking on camera and handling Faith as she is filmed. Infact, Laura has been doing most of the shows with Faith this Spring and will continue to work with her.
Thanks so much for following Faith. As she goes on other trips you can see her progress at www.boardthefaithtrain.com
The book I am writing about Faith is in the hands of a great publisher in NYC. We hope to announce their name to you soon. When the book is released Faith, Laura, Caity, and I will go to at least 6 maybe more military bases and do book signings. That should be closer to December, but the announcement of the publishers name is coming soon! Look forward to a cartoon version of Faith's life in the future too - - she's just a busy girl.
The REALLY exciting news right now is the Puppy Faith plush toy that is out and available at www.chermarketing.com for $14.99 plus shipping and handling.
You'll have to write to Cheryl or Norma at Cher Marketing for the total cost, but I think I paid $5.00 or so for one to be mailed to me, for a total of about $20. International rates are higher of course.
It's very cute, very cuddly, and way too sweet to pass up. I'm thinking everyone I know will be getting one for their birthday, Christmas or anniversary!! She's adorable.

Faith on our local KXII TV station in Ardmore, OK
ARDMORE, OK -- Around Christmas we hear a lot about faith. But one local dog is giving that word a whole new meaning with her message of hope. Tuesday, as she celebrates her seventh birthday, the Ardmore family's pet shows us that overcoming obstacles is possible, if you just have faith.

Japanese TV Show "Unbelievable"
Faith was featured on the very popular show "Unbelievable" in Japan yesterday (or today if you're in this part of the world). I'm told that over 5,000,000 Japanese viewers watched the four-hour special and it would be GREAT to find out how they responded. I know that when we filmed the segment where we are speaking live from our livingroom it was about midnight our time and we could hear laughing, screaming, clapping, happy people as Faith was talked about and then when the camera was turned on her. She was obviously loved and that is so very exciting for us.
I was able to talk about my book "Faith Alone: Stories of an Amazing Dog", which has been picked up by Uni Agency and published by Village Books in Japan. It is translated into Japanese, so anyone who wants to buy that version can do so through their local bookstore or by ordering it online. I have a few copies, but you know I can't read them! LOL Laura is practicing her Japanese by trying to read them slowly. What a great show it was!! Thank you to Creative TopSpin in NYC for coming out and filiming us. Mariko is the producer and she was such a wonderful woman. We consider her a new member of the family. You can see their pictures in the PHOTO section of this site. Fuji-TV is the sponsor and/or network for "Unbelievable" and they have been so very kind and considerate as well. If you have an opportunity to work with these groups in the future, I hope you have the same great experience we did!
