Faith will be taking a long trip back to Oklahoma on August 30 to see her Pop and Grandma.  Since she loves trips it should be OK. We'll probably fly, but if not I'll put on some Boney James for her in the back seat. 

You may remember that Faith and I are from Oklahoma.  We found a great horse rescue in Jones, Oklahoma just down the road from where my parents live. The Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue has been operating in Jones for many years and has been very successful in helping abused and neglected animals. " Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc., located in Jones, Oklahoma, is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization that strives to improve the lives of neglected, starved and abused horses. We provide equine rescue regardless of age or disability. We provide Rehabilitation, Education and Adoption Services. We promote and teach horse care and humane, natural methods for training horses. Our primary focus is Animal Cruelty Cases. We work closely with the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office with their Equine related Animal Cruelty Cases. We also assist any other local/rural County Sheriff's Office who request our assistance." 

You can help in a few ways! You can donate your time, your money, or both if you like. These animals need cared for and they need homes as well as simple sponsorship. Some people can't afford to own a horse so they donate to the care and medical attention these horses need. This way they feel connected to an animal.  However, that being said, the rescue is dedicated to finding GREAT forever homes for their animals; many of which would be lost without you. Going to Stillwater, OK to see the annual match up (BEDLAM) between the OU Sooners & the OSU Cowboys. Also going to Arcadia, OK to love on G'ma and Pop. It will be there 56th wedding annivesary.
