Faith the Dog and Harry Potter
Faith was asked to be in the 4th movie of the Harry Potter series. I was thrilled of course, and couldn't get my mind wrapped around how we would do that since it was being filmed shortly and she was not ready to travel overseas. At the time she was not as travel-savvy as she is today and I didn't have a passport, and Faith wasn't given the overseas shots and quarantine by-pass papers, so it looked as if the idea was a bust.
Then another idea came up through the pike - - she could film here, and they could edit her in. (Have you seen the MAGIC those people do with special effects?) Anyway, time passed, the crew and production people didn't work out the details as needed, and poor Faith did not get to play the role of a lifetime: She was going to be a little dog that was created when Cedric dropped his wand in the middle of the first challenge of the Goblet of Fire. The wand hit a stone and the incantation he called out was slightly altered. FAITH was to be the alteration! Faith would have been a wonderful addition to the film and though it was not that way in the book - she would have been the star for sure! Maybe that's why they didn't go forth with the idea, they were afraid she would steal the scene! (Just saying)
Faith went her way and the great cast and crew of the Harry Potter series went their way. Today her image was sent via satellite to the crew and cast when they were at the premiere having a rest. The cast loves Faith and I was personally told by Rupert's assistant that he truly would have loved to have met Faith. She was written about in his local paper in Hertfordshire, England, and his mum is also a big fan of my little yellow dog. I have to say this, my daughter Laura is still in love with Rupert as well. She has been since she was 10. I think Laura and Rupert would be perfect for each other....again, just saying!
So there is the story behind the Harry Potter film and Faith. It would have been wonderful, I wish it were so, and I hope in the future that at least the group can meet up with Faith. She's a big fan! We all are. (Don't you think Rupert and Laura would be cute together?)

Faith the Dog is Popular Around the World
This is a map from Google Analytics shading countries by recent visits to our web site.

An article on the Chilean web site latcetera.com from April 2010 has come to our attention:
Faith: La perrita que camina en dos patas
Al nacer, los veterinarios propusieron sacrificarla, pero su dueña se propuso enseñarle a caminar para poder vivir.
El 21 de enero del 2003 fue una fecha muy significativa para la escritora norteamericana Jude Stringfellow: aquel día, su hijo Reuben llegó a casa con una cachorra de un mes, la cual se encontraba en un estado deplorable. “Era pequeña, débil y estaba casi muerta”
VIA GOOGLE TRANSLATE (with additional edits):
Faith: The dog that walks on two legs
At birth, the veterinarians proposed euthanasia, but her owner proposed to teach to her walk for life.

THANK YOU Sue Manning of the Associated Press!!

Thank you Sue Manning and Manuel Valdez of the Associated Press for interviewing me, and for coming out to Seattle (Manuel) to video Faith in her element. We are truly blessed to be a part of the news coverage this holiday season (The story breaks December 16 worldwide) - - calling Faith's work a miracle and being so kind as to let the world know she is working hard to see as many soldiers as she can means a great deal to us. Faith's new book "FAITH WALKS" will be out around this time next year - - currently it is being marketed by our agent Ken Atchity of Atchity Entertainment International to many of the larger publishers such as Random House, Harper Collins, Penguin, Touchstone and Simon Schuster - - to be honest with you it hasn't been picked up just yet, but we feel that the love shown to Faith through the hundreds of newspapers and television stations who have already picked up the AP story - - that a publisher will soon welcome the book into their 2010 fold and you the reader will be treated to a unique and interesting book written in Faith's own quirky perspective. You have to know she sees things from her own point of view at times. Seattle based author Rudy Yuly and I are doing our best to capture Faith's stories as she relates them to us -- we're sure to find a few "dogged" details to be tongue-waggingly surprising - - it's just the way this dog is.
WITH GLAD HEARTS and songs of praise - - THANK YOU Associated Press for your love and genuine support of all Faith is trying to do for the world -- her message is just too important not to be told world wide. For more information on what Faith is doing RIGHT NOW please go to www.boardthefaithtrain.com and see for yourself how much fun this little dog really can be!! LOL
